Chennai, the capital of the state of Tamil Nadu, features among the four major metropolitan of India. The Kapaleeshwar Temple is the oldest temple in the city which has been devoted to Lord Shiva. Parthsarthy temple, devoted to Lord Krishna, also attracts a good number of religious tourists.

Other worth visiting sites is National Art gallery for its fine collection of Tanjore paintings on glass, Mughal and Rajput miniature paintings and Deccan paintings dating. The Snake Park would delight once you have any interest for snakes and reptiles. Theosophical Society, Kalakshetra and Gengi are also worth visiting spots in and around the city.
