Jaisalmer
Jaisalmer is a town in the Indian state of Rajasthan where miles and miles of yellow sand, scorching sun overhead and camels trudging can be seen. Colourfully clad desert people in Jaisalmer are extremely jolly and the city is now a popular tourist spot from once a sleepy desert city. Now among the most travelled Indian cities, it is fabulously situated in the midst of striking Thar Desert. Historical monuments in the city have magnificently engulfed the city in its fold with the Jaisalmer fort leading the pack.
The annual desert fair celebrated with festivities, camel shows and adventurous rides is a real attraction for the tourists. This is a real eye feasting event in Jaisalmer. The city usually gets fewer travellers in summer and the number shoots up dramatically up for the months of January and February.
