Kushinagar - Holiday Package
Kushinagar is located in the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh and exists around 90 minutes drive (51 km exactly) from Gorakhpur. Kushinagar is strongly associated with the Lord Buddha for being the chosen place by the Buddha himself to liberate himself from the cycles of death and life. Lumbini

This is the birth place of Buddha, thus invites a vast number of devotees. The place is now listed in the World Heritage Site for its immense religious and historical significance.
Those who visit the place take time to the holy garden which comprises the site of the birth, the Mayadevi temple, the Pashkarni pond and the Ashoka pillar. The revered garden of Lumbini also is a World Heritage Site. It boasts of monasteries from many Buddhist nations. More so, it is branded as a place that recognizes world peace.
The pillar discovered has inscription engraved on it in Brahmin script. The great Ashoka visited the site in a bid to experience the true essence of Buddhism. The sacred pool "Puskarni'' is also there to remind more about the story of Buddha’s birth.
